It's always an amazing thought going away and trying to enjoy that time. The problem is I always spiral when I get back trying to catch up on everything that piled up. Yesterday I did get back to everyone I had in my messages but I did NOT yet get to finish out all my conversations/bookings from those messages. It's great to be busy but I get this crippling overwhelmed feeling sometimes at this time of year. This was the first year for me where it was pretty much nonstop through summer but I get absolutely SLAMMED when August ends. Between the new schedule with school, extra curriculars, and working every day it's on the back burner but I'm chipping away and getting those responses to you as I can. Yesterday I had probably 50 things I should have been doing but my instead I sat at the shop until 830pm installing new lights in the window, sweeping and mopping/cleaning my display ledge and plant stands. All my plants got repotted with new soil, and as you can imagine I made a huge mess. This was supposed to be done in spring but alas I ran out of time and now we're going into fall so better late than never😩. Plant parents know the struggles of the process. Bare minimum they'll be winter ready🫠 I could throw a bunch of plastic plants in the window but I think it's nicer to contribute to the oxygen to our brains, that and they're not all faded and gross looking🥹
