Our favorite thing so far that has been written on the board, Welcome Back...again! At the start of every dance season I write “Welcome Back” on my studio memo board. When I write it, it reminds that I get to see students that I haven’t seen maybe since recital or over the summer. I usually write it only at the start of the season- but 2020 brought multiple “starts” of the season. And that is okay. Writing “Welcome Back” numerous times so far, after shutdowns and unexpected closures due to state guidelines, has brought the same sense of excitement I usually am only lucky to experience once in a season. Today, we “Welcome Back” our students again, and today I am just as excited and thankful for that as I am at the start of a season. Here’s to 2021.
