holding on to this glimmer

with the exception of the boots and moon belt (which I did partially DIY to antique it), everything is:

• handmade by me: crochet Florence cardigan (a pattern I designed and really, really should finish writing up for testing. Someone motivate me, please 😬), hand-sewn anatomical heart purse and DIY bag charms, flower crown with moon charms, brass beetle skirt hike, Everybody Scream inspired eco-glitter pixie dust glitter makeup

• vintage: Jessica’s Gunnies blouse (probably 1970s)

• secondhand: lacy skirt

• shopped from my closet: jewelry (featuring the magic bracelets by my dear friend )

this was a labor of 🫀love🫀in so many ways with a ton of mistakes, do overs, and occasional (…many) bad words, but it felt right to go over the top for the King herself, and

the biggest thank you to who took all the photos (we were so excited when we figured out the frosted glass door produced us some ethereal & eerie photos), listening to me squawk “PLEASE RECORD THIS FOR VIOLET” about 5738292 times, and made my first F & TM concert evening beyond magical

🌛…only if for a night 🌜

the first bulky yarn wearable of the season is finished!

there’s just something way too satisfying about being able to make a whole cardigan in less than a week

…so you can bet I’ll be working in a fluffy, bulky weight again!

I used the Cozy Bow Cardigan pattern (it’s free!) from - it works up super fast and has a really beautiful, easy-to-follow stitch pattern

I love a good time crunch challenge

this sweet tiny hat is for a family friend’s little one…and I decided to start it yesterday

and I also decided to not use a pattern because I’m me and making things really challenging is what I do (I guess)

was there frogging involved? Of course!

was I nervous it wouldn’t fit? The entire time.

will I do this again to myself? Obviously.

shout out to my kiddo for putting up with me fit checking the hat on her and modeling the heck out of it

in honor of our host, , I created a cute freebie crochet pattern for the bookish crocheters out there!

…well, I don’t have a finished piece to show off, but here’s a look at the beautiful, lacy flower motif from the Aster pattern by

two kids, their activities, an older dog, and just general life means squishing projects into small patches of time…and sometimes that means not picking up a project for a week 🤷🏻‍♀️

so I’m enjoying the process, keeping it light, and taking it slow

after all, crochet is slow fashion, right?
