Join us Thursday, June 25th at 9:30am as we celebrate the grand opening of the new Pollinator Garden at the Leesburg Public Library.

Enjoy a ribbon cutting ceremony, witness a beautiful butterfly release, and help us kick off a new chapter for pollinator conservation in our community.

As we reflect on 250 Years of Freedom in America, we recognize that the journey to liberty happened in vital chapters.

Today, we observe Juneteenth by commemorating June 19th, 1865, when the promise of emancipation finally reached everyone.

True freedom belongs to all of us, and today we honor the resilience, history, and lasting contributions of the Black community in Leesburg, FL. Happy Juneteenth! 🇺🇸✨

Star Spangled Spectacular is going to be BIGGER than ever as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary in true red, white, and blue style!

Join us on July 4th, 2026 starting at 4pm at Ski Beach Park for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration featuring:

✨The Leesburg Boat Club Flagpole dedication led by Tim Sullivan at 4:30 to kick things off at Ski Beach Park!
🎶 Live music from Groove Infusion
🎡 FREE carnival rides & games
🌭 Delicious food & cold drinks
⚾️ Leesburg Lightning takes on DeLand Suns at 5pm. Bring your blankets and chairs onto the ballpark after the game!
🎆 A breathtaking fireworks display over Lake Harris at 9pm
✨ Plus patriotic surprises you won’t want to miss!

This isn’t just another Fourth of July… this is 250 years of freedom, unity, and American pride celebrated the Leesburg way.

⚾️ Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with the Leesburg Lightning as they take on the DeLand Suns this July 4th at Pat Thomas Stadium!

The first pitch flies at 5:00PM, and the gate opens early so you can catch all the action. After the final out, the ballpark opens up so bring your blankets and chairs right onto the field for the best view in town.

The game is just the centerpiece of a massive Star Spangled Spectacular at Ski Beach Park! 😎

Come out early or stay late to enjoy the rest of the celebration:
🎠 4:00PM - Event begins with FREE carnival rides, FREE carnival games, food trucks, and cold drinks.
🇺🇸 4:30PM - The Leesburg Boat Club Flagpole dedication kicks things off right on Ski Beach!
🎶 Live Music - Catch a killer soundtrack all evening from Groove Infusion!

🗣️Tomorrow at 10:00AM, our community will gather at Veterans Memorial Park to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

While Memorial Day is a time of mourning and remembrance, it is also a time for us to come together in gratitude, reflection, and unity as a community.

The program will feature ceremonial tributes, special guest, and patriotic music by King Guys Band. Complimentary donuts and iced tea, both sweet and unsweet, will also be available.

All are welcome to attend.
