A Place To Be is proud to present a staged reading of "Odd Ones Out", an original musical written and performed by longtime A Place To Be performers Lily Olson and Allie Stanich! We hope you will join of for the very first performance of this empowering new show.

Odd Ones Out follows two adult women reflecting on their journey with autism, and how the world of theater saved them.

This show is FREE, and will take place in our Mars-Schmidt Theater at our Village At Leesburg location.

Today we would like to share an incredible thank you to 100WomenStrong of Loudoun County, Virginia, for including A Place To Be among the recipients of their 2026 fund!

This year's fund awarded $712,500 to local nonprofits work across 5 focus areas: shelter, health, mental health, hunger, and education. This includes $20,000 towards A Place To Be's mission! We are incredibly grateful for the support of this amazing philanthropic collective!

Due to a power outage at our Leesburg location, A Place To Be is canceling all in-person services from 4pm onward.

Yesterday saw 23 A Place To Be performers take part in our spring recital! Participants showcased a wide variety of talents: attendees saw our clients showcase their singing, instrumental skills, and dancing, alongside speeches and poetry, acting, and video presentations. Congratulations to all APTB performers on another amazing recital day!

A special guest for our weekly music therapy meetings at A Place To Be. Kevin Leong, who is in school to pursue his doctorate, returned to A Place To Be, and will return in coming weeks, to share his expertise on music and the brain with our team of therapists! So far, Kevin and our team discussed topics including techniques for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered/Humanistic Therapy, and how we can use these frameworks in our sessions.
