MCC-Longview Flights of Fancy

MCC-Longview Flights of Fancy MCC-Longview Flights of Fancy will be held on April 12, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. with Great American Kites and Events.

The kites of Great American Kites and Events will take flight over the lawn of the picturesque MCC-Longview campus in the heart of kite month, with awe-inspiring mega kites, power kites, stunt kites, and more including the world’s largest windsock – three stories high and 200 feet long! Especially for the kids, Flights of Fancy will feature kite making, an inflatable maze, face painting, a balloon artist and a candy drop.

We regret to share that the Flights of Fancy Kite Festival, scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, has been officially cancelled.

Due to anticipated high winds, lightning, and wet, slippery ground conditions, this decision was made out of caution for the comfort and safety of our attendees, sponsors, community partners, and employees.
