It is with sad, but grateful, hearts that we bring to you the following announcement. After nearly 11 years, The Exit Room will be closing our location at 304 SW Market Street in Lee’s Summit, MO. We have had the incredible privilege of bringing to our customers a unique escape room experience for over a decade. Moreover, we have had the solemn privilege of joining with you in the celebration of countless birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, corporate outings, field trips and holiday get-togethers. Unfortunately, the building has been sold and our lease has expired and, thus, we must move on. We are forever appreciative of our landlord who has given us a “home away from home’ since 2015 and we wish them well in their next venture.
Our final date will be Sunday, September 13th, 2026. So, book now if you want to get one last look at The Exit Room. Also, use code NEWSTART2026 for 20% any private room adventure.
As bitter-sweet as this departure will be, we have some GREAT NEWS to share with you. We will be opening a new adventure this fall only a few blocks away from our present location in the heart of the historic downtown Lee’s Summit. “THE LOFT: An Exit Room Production” will open in October and is designed to offer a completely innovative escape room experience. We will begin offering little “peeks” and “glimpses” into our new game play concepts over the next few weeks and we are excited that this novel concept will intrigue all our existing customers. A word of caution, however. Unlike The Exit Room, which featured several adventures offered dozens of times during each week, THE LOFT will only be hosting a limited number of bookings each week for up to 12 players. So, keep an eye on our Face Book page to see the date in which we will open our bookings as we expect dates and time slots to fill up fast.
But that is not all! We are also going to be launching our Walkabout games this fall. These are adventures that take place outside and around various venues in Lee’s Summit. After booking your experience, your team will be issued an iPad and an adventure pack and will be turned loose to search and interact with your environment in order to solve a mystery or complete a quest over the span of up to 2 or 3 full hours. We will be introducing new Walkabout games frequently throughout the fall and winter and next spring – each with their own story, objectives, themes, and routes.
