Whether someone has a brain injury from birth, or acquires it through an accident or illness, music therapy has several proven benefits for rehabilitation and maintaining quality of life. Not only is music therapy a great way to communicate with others, it can also restore speech, movement and memories.

March is Music Therapy Awareness Month 🎶

Music therapy is evidence-based healthcare led by board-certified professionals who use music to support speech, movement, emotional regulation, memory, connection and much more. From supporting individuals with aphasia after stroke, to helping children with disabilities find their voice, to easing anxiety and pain in medical settings, music therapy meets people where they are and helps them move forward.

If you’ve ever felt the power of a song to change your mood or bring people together, you’ve already experienced a glimpse of what music therapy can do. Let's celebrate! 🥳
