We’re still feeling all the good energy from 10X10=AVA! Thanks to the artists who generously contributed their work, everyone who came out, and everyone who bid, bought, volunteered, and helped make it such a success.

109 artists participated, 114 works donated,89 pieces found new homes,$19,527 raised, and a whole lot of good energy. Every dollar raised supports AVA’s free and accessible community programs. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up for AVA and made it possible.

Missed 10X10=AVA but still want to show your support? There’s still time to make an end-of-year gift before August 31. Head to our site to make a donation: https://avagallery.app.neoncrm.com/campaigns/10x10

A little quiet for your feed.

There’s something about spending time in the Main Galleries with Converse with the Crossroads of the Wind. The light, the movement, the layers of work, and the ambient sounds of Carla Kimball’s nature videos moving through the space.

Across painting, installation, printmaking, video, and papercut, six artists explore nature, memory, cycles, loss, resilience, and transformation, each through a distinctly different lens.

Featuring work by Cheryl Betz, Thia Daniels, Marisa Green, Patty Hudak, Carla Kimball, and Anna Prikazchikova.

Come spend some time with it before it closes.
On view through September 12.

School is back in session, but we're still reliving the memories from summer! We hosted different camp options each week for young artists to learn new skills like forging, 3D printing, pottery, painting, drawing, building with clay, and so much more!

A special thanks to our instructors, staff, and volunteers who make these camps so engaging!

If you missed this year's camps, we'd love for you to join us next summer or for our school vacation camps in February & April! In the meantime, we're still offering youth education opportunities at AVA!

Thanks to a partnership with the HOPE Foundation, AVA now has four Emergency Overdose boxes across our campus. Each contains Narcan, a nasal spray that can be used to save a life during a suspected opioid overdose.

Like an AED or first-aid kit, these boxes are simply another emergency safety resource available to our community when it’s needed. You can find them near the restrooms on each floor of AVA and in the Sculptural Studies Building.

We’re grateful to the Hypertherm Hope Foundation for helping us make this important resource accessible on our campus.

You’re invited to join us for Steve Arcone’s artist talk in our main gallery next Friday, September 4 from 5:30-6:30pm! Arcone’s latest exhibition, "Icescapes in the Abstract: Images from New Hampshire Ponds," is currently featured in our main gallery with Talia Roberts. Both artists’ work incorporates natural elements, but Arcone’s work combines his science background to feature the smallest, most striking details of our natural world.

He uses macro-photography to capture images unseen during a typical hike or day by the river, proving that science and art compliment each other perfectly! Come learn about how his background as a research geophysicist influences his creative perspective.

Register for this event on our website: https://bit.ly/44MtTe8

"Icescapes in the Abstract" is on display in our main gallery until September 12.
