After many auditions, discussions, practices, and much prayer, four men stepped out in 2023 to present the gospel through the ministry of singing, calling themselves the Anchored Quartet of Lebanon, TN.

We had a great time at the Welchland Baptist Church Homecoming service in Spencer today but unfortunately this morning while driving there we got a call from the Living Waters Church in Cottontown asking to reschedule our August 23rd date. As we are pretty busy for the rest of this year I suggested we talk later about a date in 2027 and Mrs Linda agreed. Be looking for us to have Living Waters on our schedule in the spring of 2027 as they are a great church to sing to we always enjoy being in worship with them!

I'm often told "Boy if you guys sing here close to home, let me know as we'd love to come and here y'all." And to be honest, we generally do not sing close to home, always an hour to three away. But... tonight is different and we'll actually only have to travel about 15 minutes down the road for the service tonight at Fellowship Baptist Church, 7175 Lebanon Rd, Mt Juliet, TN. The church is on the right about a 1/4 mile past 109 Hwy if coming from Lebanon and if coming from 109 just turn east onto Hwy 70, or Lebanon Rd as we know it, and go over the hill and you'll see it on the right, across from Liberty Church, formerly Music City Baptist. The service starts at six and we, along with Pastor Tommy Echols, extend everyone that would care to come a warm invitation. We'd love to see you there!

It has been a busy time for our bunch over the last couple of months with everyone in the group experiencing some sort of illness, injury, surgery, treatments, or life changes but God is always good, always faithful, and always supplies our needs! Vic is recovering from his wreck, Louie from his knee replacement, me from cataract surgery, Matt from a bout of gout, and Aron dealing with the sale and purchase of a new home. But we have not had to miss a singing date, and have even been able to help out when a church had a last minute cancellation and needed help. Last week we got a call from a church looking for a group for homecoming on August 2nd but we were already scheduled on that date at a church in their area and couldn't help them. I gave the pastor some group names and numbers as referrals for him to call. Then in the last two days we have had two churches needing to reschedule to a latter date, which we'll be posting when we work the date out. But one of those dates is August 2nd and when I called the pastor back that needed a group on that date he said that he'd had no luck finding anyone and to come on! God has His hand on all things and He always provides and makes a way for His children and supplies our needs! Perhaps some of the folks from Dechard can make their way to Spencer that afternoon. Wouldn't that be grand?
