What do Doug and The Hett have in common?

They've both been at McKendree for 20 years!

This morning, our Technical Director, Doug Magnussen, was recognized for 20 years of service to McKendree University!

For two decades, Doug has been behind the scenes making things happen, solving problems, teaching students, and keeping The Hett running smoothly.

We’re proud to celebrate one of our own as she heads to Broadway!

McKendree alum and former Hett student worker 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐝𝐞 '𝟎𝟗 is the 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫 for Tectonic Theater Project’s production of 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠, which is officially heading to Broadway!

Molly has served in these roles for the production’s national and international tour and will now continue her work as 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 makes its Broadway debut at the Barrymore Theatre this fall.

We couldn’t be more excited to see a former student taking her talents to a Broadway stage. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, Molly!

Field trips to the Hett just became more accessible!

We’re excited to introduce the Hett Arts Access Program, a new initiative helping remove financial barriers that may prevent students from experiencing live performing arts. Thanks to funding from Ameren Illinois, eligible Illinois schools within 50 miles of McKendree University can apply for assistance covering transportation and admission to Hett Arts Education performances.

Box Office Hours Update: The Hett Box Office will close at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, August 20, as we welcome McKendree University’s Class of 2030 for their Opening Convocation Ceremony.
