Somewhere that’s Green opens TONIGHT. There are three performances:

Friday, August 9th at 7:30 pm
Saturday, August 10th at 7:30 pm
Sunday, August 11th at 2 pm

Somewhere that’s Green is a celebration of the songs of Alan Menken, and features many beloved musical numbers from musicals and movies including:

Sister Act
Little Shop of Horrors
Newsies
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Hercules
Tangled
Pocahontas
The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Somewhere that’s Green is a collaboration between Cumberland University and Centerstage Theatre Company, and the cabaret was conceived by Jenny Ballard, Mitchell Vantrease, and the cast.

Tickets are $5 for students, and $10 for faculty and general admission, and are available at the link below. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.

EXCITING NEWS!!!!📰🗞️
Cumberland University and Centerstage Theatre Company are so excited to present their inaugural co-production, Somewhere That’s Green: A Cabaret featuring the songs of Alan Menken.

Somewhere That’s Green will be performed at the Heydel Fine Arts Center on August 9th and 10th at 7:30 pm, and August 11th at 2 pm.

Centerstage and Artistic Director Mitchell Vantrease would like to give a heart felt congratulations to Mark Wright and Lisa Byrd on their wedding this morning at McCurley Farm in Murfreesboro. This wonderful couple has attended many of our shows. Instead of wedding gifts, they asked guests to give donations to two of their favorite charities, one being Centerstage. Thank you so much for supporting us, our mission and vision. We love you two and have a wonderful lifetime together!

Tickets for the other performances are going fast! We’re usually good with walk ups at the door. However, it might be hard to get a seat in Wonderland if you don’t get tickets in advance!
Bring the family out for a fun adventure with our production of Alice in Wonderland directed by Patti Ann Tobin, featuring a cast of youth actors ages 8 to 16 from across Wilson County. Show runs 7 p.m. June 30, July 1, 2 and 2 p.m. July 3 and 7 p.m. July 7 and 8.
