Exciting Marion County Fair Harness Racing returns in 2026 to Lebanon, KY.
More that 200 horses and their drivers will compete for more than $300,000 in purse money on the Marion County Fairgrounds oval dirt track. During two days of racing there’ll be 34 races, with six to seven horses in each race. Race days are Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27. Racing begins at 1 p.m. each day, and there is no admission fee for spectators.
James “Jim” Averitt, Jr, race secretary, said the event has grown significantly since its early days, when competitors raced for little more than $1,000 in purse money. No betting is permitted at the Marion County Fair event.
