Press Release
“THIS YEAR, THE FINALE SONG MEANS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. ❤️
For the first time in DB Lights history, we’re introducing a brand-new 13-minute Memorial Finale Medley.
But this isn’t just another sequence of Christmas lights.
You might not know this, but I have a background in filmmaking and storytelling. That’s why this year’s finale song won’t just be another cool sequence.
It will tell a story.
A story about loss.
A story about grief.
A story about the people we wish were still here.
And a story about learning how to carry their memory with us.
In 2013, I lost my uncle, Jason — someone who meant so much to me and who played a huge part in the person I became.
I was only 12–13 years old at the time.
A few years later, DB Lights was officially born.
What started as a small holiday light display eventually became something much bigger than I ever imagined. Year after year, I kept building, adding, improving, and growing this show.
But underneath all of the lights, music, props, and thousands of hours of work has always been something much more personal.
Grief.
This year, as DB Lights celebrates its 10th Anniversary, I wanted to finally tell that story.
This new 13-minute finale will take you through a journey — directly through my eyes.
From the heartbreak of losing someone you love, through the memories that remain, the moments of sadness, the moments of hope, and ultimately… finding a way to keep moving forward.
It will feature songs that hold a very special meaning to me and to Jason, brought together into one emotional story told through music, lights, and visuals.
So when you stand there watching the finale this year, I hope you don’t just see a light show.
I hope you see a story.
A story of someone who was lost.
A story of someone who was loved.
And a story of how their memory can continue to shine, even years later. ❤️
This one is for you, Uncle Jay.
13 minutes.
One story.
Ten years of DB Lights.
And a memory that will never fade.
Come watch the lights, walk through the display, and experience it alongside me.
But this year…
stay until the very end. ❤️
Im proud to announce
DB Lights Presents “A Light That Remains”
A story of loss, grief, remembrance, and finding a way forward —
See you there.
