Lebanon Ballet School is dedicated to providing quality instruction in and appreciation of ballet for students ages 4 and up. Our curriculum is taught by a highly qualified, competent professional staff, who work together to ensure that the students achieve the proper knowledge to strengthen their body, mind and spirits. For the student desiring an intensive dance education, we offer graded classe
s in Ballet with Pointe and Modern. For the elementary and intermediate student, we offer a program of weekly classes specifically tailored to their age, interest, and experience. For those seeking personal enrichment and exercise, we offer selected classes for Adults and Teens. These classes are conducted in a comfortable, enjoyable environment. Located on the Lebanon Mall, the school is near local schools and convenient to public transportation. The school entrance is from the lower parking lot. Our 2 studios have a floating floor system "providing a safe, uniform suspension with a consistent, dancer controlled rebound." The school operates on a two semester basis with summer classes for children and adults. Dancers from our school perform with City Center Ballet in various productions including The Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia and Clara's Dream. Students have been accepted in programs at the American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet (MA) , Albany Berkshire Ballet (NY), “Extreme Ballet” at the Kaatsbaan International Dance Center (NY), National Ballet School of Canada (ON) and Central Penn. Lebanon Ballet School is the home of City Center Ballet Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit student company. The company was formed in 1999 as an outgrowth of the school. Comprised of the dedicated and disciplined advanced dancers, the company provides expanded educational and performance opportunities for the students. In addition, these performances raise public awareness of dance as an art form. Each year the company performs a major classical ballet in late winter with repertory concerts and lecture demonstrations given throughout the year.
