Deep, deep gratitude fills my heart for a year well spent.

I have had the privilege to paint Live for over 40 couples and thousands of their guests in 2023. I traveled to 8 different states in order to share in celebrations of love… and have eaten my fair share of cake along the way!

I don’t know if I will ever fully leave this dream like state of feeling like I won the lotto of life.

Last night while painting a sweet young girl asked me “are you a real Artist?”
I replied, “Yes, darling - I am a real Artist, and a nurse too.”

Instead of signing a guest book your guests would participate by adding brushstrokes to a canvas creating an impressionistic landscape throughout your reception (with guidance/instruction by a professional Artist - me). It can be a scene that is special to you and your fiancé, a view from your venue or inspiration from your favorite location.

Your guests will enjoy creating something so special while gifting you an original piece of artwork for your home! Take it a step further by turning your canvas into your thank you card and everyone will have a small print of their own!

Live Wedding Paintings are still leaving the studio on a regular basis, and I feel like the 2023 season is just going to transition into 2024 with a January wedding less than a week into the new year.
What an unbelievable and unexpected year this has been for my growing business - which wouldn’t be possible without my couples, their families, and loved ones! And fabulously talented vendors like who graciously share their gifts as well.

Last month I scheduled a holiday play date with a special friend to see in all of her festive glory and the fashion exhibit of Ann Lowe - American Couturier (currently there through January 7th).
I was in my glory! Christmas trees decorated throughout the mansion influenced by the designer’s gowns. One of my favorites was this beauty created in 1961 for a coronation ball. The gown inspired the most exquisite tree with lengths of draped tulle and a glowing quince gin elixir, ode to DuPont himself.

It is a display not to be missed by anyone who loves history, fashion, mansions, and seasonal delights!

And if you have any leads on where I can obtain quince fruit, please let me know - I am on a wide search to create this cocktail myself.

If I didn’t have a wet painting for proof, I’d say last night’s wedding was a dream! What could be more dreamy than a 1890’s mansion with festive twinkling lights, candles, and trees just 2 nights before Christmas.
The evening flew by and before I knew it the last brushstrokes were laid on the canvas as guests were headed outside for the sparkler send off.
I think I broke a record on this one - painted in under 4 hours with their first dance happening at 9pm. A few touch ups in the studio will complete Courtney and Scott’s Live Painting, gifted by his sister.

And I’m going to be 100% transparent here.
I’m not shy about asking.
I’m not all that tech savvy, I don’t know the algorithms or use the best SEO methods. And being a small one woman show (who also maintains working in my community as a Registered Nurse) - I don’t have time or unlimited expenses for advertising.
I deeply appreciate my clients and vendors who take a few moments of their time to share their thoughts about working with me, watching me paint, and my artwork in general.

You choose the moment, you choose the scene.

and her newly wedded husband Ian, wanted to capture their actual ceremony exit dip/kiss but in a different location from the ceremony. They fell in love with moon gate and wanted to highlight it in their painting.
One of the many luxuries of artwork is that it gives you the ability to be in two places at the same time. Bringing in details and leaving out others if you like. It truly is customizable to give you the vision you see.
The portrait (vertical) composition placed them front and center without sacrificing the dappled light shining through the foliage.

I first met Kate on her brother’s Wedding Day when I painted for Eric and his new bride Juli. Seeing them again, watching this beautiful family grow, and being given the opportunity to paint for them once again is priceless!
