Oooh… AAHH! Look at these fabulous fabrics recently donated to the Peters Valley Fiber Studio! Thanks to the generosity of FABSCRAP, our studio has received an in-kind donation of 15 pounds of fabric to use in upcoming workshops.

Just imagine the creative possibilities these materials will inspire!

FABSCRAP (FABSCRAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the way we think about and manage commercial textile waste. Through its convenient and transparent recycling and reuse programs, FABSCRAP helps businesses and individuals give discarded fabrics a second life instead of sending them to landfills.

Ongoing improvements to both our studio/workshop spaces and dormitories—including upgraded lighting, air conditioning, furnishings, and specialized equipment—help create safe, comfortable, and inspiring environments for students.

The final day of class will culminate in a small potluck of sorts to allow us to trial and test our new tools. This workshop is open to all levels, beginners welcome.

Established in honor of Mindy’s generous heart and creative spirit by her friends and family, his scholarship will fund a 5-day immersive workshop in any studio during the 2026 season for a college student who otherwise would not be able to afford the experience. ⁠
