Jaks Theatre Company

Jaks Theatre Company Youth Broadway Musical Productions Jaks Theatre Company is a unique program for young people, providing instruction in the basic components of performing arts.

Jaks strives to teach children the power of their own potential, focusing on excellence, talent and team work, and promotes the concept of an Ensemble Theater Group where all members have equal responsibility in, and are integral to, the production's success. Increased confidence and self assurance are some of the many rewards of being a member of Jaks. Jaks offers the opportunity for parents and

family members to share the experience while contributing to the overall production by working on sets, costumes and other important tasks.

Lucas has always enjoyed the spotlight. He especially loves a chance to be goofy. He has been with Jaks off and on since he was 7 years old, but found his calling when he was given the opportunity to learn the technical side of the stage. He learned so much from Jill, Dustin, Riley, Dave F, Anna, and Joey about Lighting and Sound.
He graduated with his Associate Degree from Weber State University as a high school senior and earned a full ride scholarship to the University of Alabama in Birmingham in their amazing Immunology program. In high school, he especially loved starting in Varsity Football, throwing Discus and taking as many premed science classes at Weber State that he could fit into his high school schedule.

Riley has always loved music and singing. She has been very involved in choir throughout her life. She wanted to get involved in musical theater and thanks to her good friend Josie she found Jaks. She loved her time performing in Les Miserables and Matilda and was able to get more involved in theater at Farmington High after all she learned at Jaks.

Riley’s most favorite thing in the world is music and she listens to so many different genres and usually calls AUX everytime she’s in the car so that she can control what we listen to. She also plays the piano and is currently teaching herself to play the guitar.

Riley will be serving a mission beginning this November in Toronto, Canada. She’s very excited!

Riley is so thankful for Jaks and for all the friends she made during her time there.

Collin graduated from Syracuse High last May and is enrolled in College with a Theatre Major.  Collin has had the pleasure of being in 7 shows with Jaks!  He started out as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast and he was hooked.  Through his time with Jaks, not only did he become more confident and make lifelong friends, but he also had the opportunity to learn to tap dance and play the guitar.  Watching Collin on the stage has been such a phenomenal treat.  While some of the long hours were tiring, he thoroughly enjoyed every second.

I am so excited to see where Collin’s theatre journey takes him.  Thank you Jaks family for giving him the gift of theatre.  I can’t thank you enough.

Jaks Theatre has been a huge blessing in Isaac’s life! Who knew having Jill as his voice coach (to teach him how to stop losing his voice when singing for his band 🎸), would lead to Isaac joining Jaks and taking his 1st role as Rapunzel’s Prince in ‘Into the Woods’. Being involved with Jaks has created so many lifelong friendships and a confidence on stage that has helped Isaac in so many other aspects of life!

Currently Isaac is touring the world with the band Riff Wood! He’s played with them in the UK and currently playing shows on a coast to coast tour throughout the US and Canada. If you watch him on stage you can see the Jaks kid come out in him, his stage presence is anything but boring! 😜

In November, Isaac is excited to serve a mission in El Salvador 🇸🇻 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and then attend BYU. We are so proud of all his accomplishments and for his love of life! Love you buddy!

Caden graduated from high school this past May as a homeschool student, all while taking college classes through Southern Utah University beginning in ninth grade. He plans to continue his education in the years ahead.

During his time with Jaks Theatre Company, Caden has brought many memorable characters to life and made lifelong friends along the way. Among his favorite roles are Javert in “Les Misérables”—his very first production with Jaks—and Hades in “Hadestown”.

He plans to continue pursuing acting through Stars Talent Studio while also training in Kung Fu and American Ninja Warrior. When he’s not on stage or in training, he works in construction.

Caden’s determination, work ethic, and perseverance are evident in everything he does. We could not be more proud of all he has accomplished and look forward to seeing what the future holds for him. Congratulations, Caden!

Everything about Jacob is music. He loves jazz and played in the Farmington Jr. High Jazz Band, the Farmington High School Jazz Band, and the Davis District Jazz Band—all with his double bass and his electric bass. He played for Hadestown and Bright Star with his double bass and has played for other gigs around the Salt Lake and Ogden areas. Jacob also played the French Horn in Farmington High’s Wind Ensemble and the mellophone in their marching band. And lest you think he’s just about the instruments, Jacob also sang in multiple choirs at Farmington High and finished his senior year in Chamber Choir. Jacob is currently volunteering in the Bountiful Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and plans to serve a mission in 2027.

After years of football, Jenson surprised all of us when, during his junior year of high school, he decided he wanted to step away from the sports world and audition for a JAKS show alongside his sister, who had been performing for a couple of years. As someone who is naturally quiet and reserved and tends to shy away from intense social situations, we weren’t sure what to expect. But once he stepped on stage, he gave it everything he had.

What started as trying something new quickly became a passion and he has loved every opportunity to perform, grow, and challenge himself. His favorite Jaks memory will forever be when he played his dream told of Hades in Hadestown.

Jenson plans to continue his education and hopefully keep a foot in the theater door as he begins this next chapter. He is incredibly grateful for the lifelong friends he’s made, his JAKS family, and every opportunity he’s had to perform on stage.

We are so proud of the courage it took to try something completely new and the performer he has become. Congratulations, Jenson! We love you so much and can’t wait to see what comes next!
