I feel like I JUST made this announcement yesterday. Somehow we are quickly approaching the end of 3 years and that means another PCS.

With that, comes the annoying shop announcements that include last order opportunities… for now.

I will not be able to complete or fulfill orders after 1 April.

My order log is already significant - Please reach out ASAP if you have a vision or gift you need fulfilled before September.

8 May, 1945

Dear Diary,

We heard the church bells first—ringing loud and wild like they had a life of their own. Then came the shouting. People in the street, hugging, laughing, crying. “It’s over!” someone screamed. I didn’t believe it until the wireless confirmed it. Germany has surrendered. The war in Europe is finally, finally, over.

There were crowds in the village center, in the streets, on rooftops. A sea of hats, handkerchiefs, lipstick smiles. We joined hands with strangers and sang until our voices cracked. I saw a woman kneel in the middle of the street and sob. No one stopped her.

The pubs ran out of beer by midday, and someone passed me a lukewarm cup of tea and said, “To peace.” I drank it like champagne.

I tucked Thomas in tonight with his windows wide open No blackout curtains. For the first time in what feels like a lifetime, we let the moonlight in. I think to myself, “We did it. We survived. We didn’t give into the terror, the fear, the unknowns.”

I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but tonight—tonight we breathe freely.

Big news for Brushwork Impressions.

We are trading in our camping gear and Mountain View’s for afternoon tea, quaint countrysides and European travels.

We are heading to England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Now, take this news with a grain of salt since any plans the military gives you can always change in an instant.

However, we are currently working towards making these plans a reality.

Now the bad news. Due to such an extensive move, I will no longer be taking orders after 30 April for the foreseeable future until I can get our family settled in a new country and my business back up and running.

I will still be supporting .ly in the meantime by continuing to engage on this page, painting for purpose, and promoting my fellow vendors.

It will be strange to leave the place the re-ignited my love of art in the first place, but excited to see what this new chapter holds.

Plus we have lots of Denney Bear customers in our soon to be new home. 💚

Did you know that we are closing in on the 1 year anniversary of publishing Denney Bear? It’s been such an incredible year of learning, tripping, pivoting and learning again.

Mostly we have had such joy is hearing from families that have brought the book into their homes and had their little ones enjoy it. Funny enough, most of our customers are in the UK. This may only be funny for me… for now. More to come on that later 🙃🙃
