Lucy, the loving German Sheppard, has left us. ๐ Her mom left a bio that gives us insight on Lucy's life. Our pets are here through many milestones in our lives... breakups, college, moves... but you never think they will leave you until one day they do. As a photographer, this is the most emotional and hardest session to capture. I am sad for pet owners losing their pets, but I am grateful that I can preserve memories while they still have life on this Earth.

โLucy was born December 15, 2008 and I got her in February of 2009. Her full name is Lucy Leigh Ward aka Luce, Lucy Goosey, Goose, The Beast. I got her at 19 and moving out on my own. I want a guard dog, a protector. She was that and so much more. She is my best friend, fur baby, sounding board, and therapist. I got her about 6-7 months after having a miscarriage and she filled the hole in my heart/soul and feel complete again. When I went through a major depression and was suicidal she kept me grounded and kept me fighting and going. She saved my life. Between her and mine health problems over the years we have been two peas in a pod and helping each other through it. She is my world, my everything. Life will not be the same without her. She has always be such a happy dog that loves walks, treats, kids, and snuggling. She has such a kind and gentle soul. She will let you do pretty much anything to her as long as you are loving on her and let her lick you. My nephews and niece adore her and Lucy will let them do anything to her. She has the patience of a saint anytime kids are involved. Such a beautiful dog inside and out. I won the lottery when I got her. The best decision in my life was getting her.โ
