Hello and welcome to Nikitart, a small business focused on henna design and canvas art for sale! I created it because of my appreciation for henna and also for the joy it brings to share its beauty and versatility with others.
My name is Nikita Shah and I am the founder of this small business. I am 22 years old, and I have been doing henna art since I was little and building on the practice over time. I am Indian-American, and henna is a practice tied closely to my culture and upbringing. I’ve loved it since I’ve had it applied for dance performances and family weddings as a little girl. Canvas art became a hobby much more recently, and I’ve been building on the craft and practicing it for the past year. Both of these forms are something to keep me creative and artistic and to have fun while learning and practicing it. Henna is also a very natural and sustainable practice, literally rooted from plant powder, and that’s something I appreciate in a world where many things are heavily processed.
