I'm currently working on some paintings that fit the " How I See (the dark side of) Her" Call for Entries that the The Gail Girls 💚🖤💜 are hosting on Halloween!

This is my first painting for the show, I love that it fits into the dark feminine, strange woman, Halloween theme.

Inspired by Merissa Mann viral costume and photoshoot!

"Mountain Forged"

The best gift to give an art-collecting Leo for their birthday is obviously a self portrait. This year, I painted a portrait of my friend Milo, combining his figure with the landscape of Yonah Mountain. I painted directly onto raw canvas, then suspended the portrait from a lake root encasing a rock that I found while paddle boarding this summer.

My landscape portraits are how I represent someone through space and time, connecting them to a place. 🏔️

Materials:
Tree root, Yarn, Raw canvas, Pencil, Acrylic paint, Gesso

ANOTHER Mural Activation / Public Art Install for Evening of the Arts at LAC- Lawrenceville Arts Center with The Gail Girls 🩷🧡💚

My bench is inspired by the Bicentennial Clover Sculpture in Lvl called "Make a Wish" that features larger-than-life stainless steel clovers (11k lbs+). This public art sculpture encourages visitors to walk through the clover forest and find the one four leaf clover to make a wish 🍀

Working on murals side by side with my girls + my community is truly a dream come true and my own wish on a clover once upon a time ago! ❤️🥹

whoaaaa a jewelry share! I'm so occupied with the How I See Her exhibition, painting, teaching art, but I do still have a jewelry-making practice 🌺🐚 It's constantly influenced by what I'm making or doing elsewhere, lately I've been finding some good Mica pieces by the lake when I paddle board, so I'm wire wrapping those and making necklace pendants. Each season brings different inspirations for me. :)

It's really special for me to make wearable art from materials I find in nature or produce from my paint practice... Everything is circular♻️
