Natasha Scheuble (Juliet) is elated to be joining the cast of Romeo and Juliet! Natasha, a Lyric Coloratura Soprano from Parsippany, New Jersey and holds a Masters Degree in Operatic Performance from Mannes School of Music where she was a Presidential Scholar and studied under the tutelage of the legendary soprano, Ruth Falcon. Scheuble also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance / Opera Studies from Purchase Conservatory of Music where she studied with soprano, Kaori Sato. Praised for her "warm and vibrant tone”, she can be seen as roles such as Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, among others. Scheuble is very excited to be debuting the role of Juliette with New Jersey Lyric Opera! Upcoming: covering Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute with Undead Arts and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Amici Opera. She is currently an Artist in Residence with The New Contemporary of Madison NJ.
Samual Keeler is a tenor who has been hailed for his "rich tenor" (Culpepper Times) and "strong vocals and crisp, clear delivery" (DC Theatre Scene). Recent highlights include Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Mobile Opera. Additional recent appearances include Liverotto in Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia with Opera Baltimore, Remendado in Carmen with both Maryland Opera and Washington Opera Society, and Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème at the Mediterranean Opera Festival. Other notable roles include Edgardo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata, Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Sam Kaplan in Kurt Weill's Street Scene. As a frequent soloist in the greater Philadelphia region, Keeler also serves as Founder and Executive Director of Liberty City Arts, a nonprofit performing arts initiative dedicated to supporting artists and creating high-quality artistic experiences for the Philadelphia community. This spring, Liberty City Arts presents a co-production of Menotti's The Consul with Prismatic Arts Ensemble, May 20 & 22 at Billy Penn Studios, benefiting immigration service organizations Juntos and The New Sanctuary Movement. He serves on the Board of Bel Canto Boot Camp, whose mission is to break the often prohibitive barriers of distance, cost, and time to train and empower singers and audiences alike.
