All our love to Christy Jane & Jill! They both played a huge role in the formation and participation of Junior Cotillion here in Lawrenceburg. Our hearts are broken but we rejoice in the Light Jill will continue to shine on our world through Organ Donation.

Lawrenceburg Performing Arts Academy and Lexington Children’s Theatre are excited to present:

Musical Theatre R***e: We Are Revolting Children!
9:00AM – 4:00PM
This MTR will explore popular songs from musicals where the kids are a bit raucous! The song will be from the musical Annie!, Oliver and Matilda! If your young person is a little bit rowdy this will be their chance to express themselves
Musical Theatre R***e is designed for students who wish to develop their musical performance and presentation skills. Each session has a different theme or idea that ties the music together. Students will be singing and dancing as they learn about the history and world of musical theatre! The class culminates in a musical r***e for family and friends on Friday evening.

Lawrenceburg Junior Cotillion Members & Senior Ambassadors will Be Buddies this Saturday, June 2 at the Anderson County Little League Challenger Baseball game! We are super excited to serve others with this event! Come out at 11:00 am to the American Legion Park Fields to cheer on our teams!!

Cotillion Event #3! We rehearsed the Waltz & Swing step along with Virginia Reel & Sally Down the Alley! We discussed Thank You notes, invitations and etiquette regarding buffet lines and RSVP! Great kids! Great Ambassadors! So thankful for our volunteers for sharing and Molly Kays for teaching dance!

What a fun night with our second Cotillion lesson!! The dancing is going great and we saw some kids getting comfortable with turns! Special thanks to Tamara Smith for leading “For Girls Only” on Posture and Carriage and Bart Lewis & Tim Holmes for leading “For Boys Only” and teaching young boys how to tie a tie and how to be a gentleman (Holding a door open, giving up a seat for a young lady etc). Thanks to all parents who see the value in this program and give us the opportunity to teach some valuable life skills to middle school children!
And as always, we couldn’t do it without the help and excitement from our High School Senior Ambassadors!!

Great first night of Junior Cotillion! We worked on introductions, shaking hands and making eye contact. We learned the Waltz along with a line dance and basic dance steps. AND our Ambassadors led small groups with an activity in giving and receiving compliments!! Great group of kids, and fun was had by all, even those whose parents made them come!
