Yesterday was a hard day for the Lofty Hitchins' / Cheatwood family. Our Polie Bear crossed the rainbow bridge . It was one of those moments you're never ready for . I probably griped about , fussed at and also worried over loved and fed this big gentle giant as much as anyone . However he was Steve's true buddy... If his truck moved and was anywhere on this farm Polie was right behind him no matter how bad he felt . WE were his herd . He rallied. Around us , guarded us and trembled through every storm with us . He was terrified of storms , gunshots and fireworks..... enough so that he litterally chewed up and tore down our metal French doors . Full disclaimer each of us at various times threatened his death but the whole crowd have mourned and shed numerous tears at his departure. I feel confident that he and ole Sarge are walking heavens streets together albeit they may be on opposite sides of the street because they weren't friends they were just brothers . lol Our Barn and home will be lost for a while without him but we were blessed to love him for 11 1/2 sweet years . RIP Polie we'll see you on the other side

Love was most definitely in the air here at Lofty Hitchins' on Saturday, May 30, 2026. If there's any doubt, just ask Alaina Hull and Treyton Brazier, the bride and groom, or any of their guests for that matter. These two were all smiles and the absolute sweetest to host. We are blessed that we were their pick of places to hold this special day. We pray that the love they feel for each other today will continue to flourish and grow to its ultimate capacity, and they will be found holding hands in rockers, still in love, for the remainder of their days and throughout eternity. Saturday, May 23rd, 2026; although it was a bit damp, the day was filled with rays of happiness and love for Carlie Alvarez and Jacob Gohn. Now Mr. and Mrs. Gohn... Carlie was such a joy to host, as nothing seemed to rain on her parade; instead, she chose joy and love to rule over her special day. Their parents, along with a host of friends, put forth every effort to ensure all looked exactly as Carlie had envisioned it. We are blessed to have even a glimmer of assistance in making this event come to pass, and we pray for all of God's choicest blessings on this union. Thanks for choosing us. I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks. What a fun day was had by all at the second annual Ashton Lane paintball and slingshot extravaganza. These kids enjoyed every minute of their time firing at and pelting one another with their savage shots. My two baby boys, Brandon and Blain, might have gotten as much joy out of it as the young guys did. I missed the first hour, so some kids are not included in the pictures, but I know the trash talk and good times were in abundance, and the young ladies didn't back down from the firing squad either. This one pulled at my heartstrings a bit... well, actually a lot. Steve and I have known Nic Violet since he was a young, carefree teenager, and have loved him as if he were one of our own. Bringing Ashly into the picture was just such a natural process, since #1, the happiness she brought to Nic, and #2, she's absolutely so easy to love. (Plus, Karissa gave her two thumbs up from the get-go, as they were friends for many years as well.) Our venue was all smiles and happy tears as we witnessed what happens when everything in the universe comes together in honor of such special love. The three boys were just an added bonus in this love story - icing on their cake. It was evident that these two people have touched many lives for good, as so many showed up in support of this union. We feel deeply blessed to have been a small part of it all, including Steve officiating this beautiful day, and Kenna being the surprise ring barer ...Even God showed up with a perfect weather forecast. This one will be a favorite of ours for years to come. Congratulations, Nic and Ashley, may you have many years of happiness and love. 💕 best wishes always from the Lofty Hitchins' family...

Saturday, April 25, 2026, Karen Hannah and Bobby Lambert became husband and wife, joined together in a beautiful ceremony complete with a washing of feet and all the love that entails. Both were so extremely happy that the aura around them became contagious to all present. Karen, along with many devoted friends, took care to make each detail personal and sentimental. I'm in hopes that they will share some pictures and videos from this day, as God even sent them a rainbow as a sign of His approval of their sweet union. We were blessed to be part of their love story and wish them every possible joy for their future life together. Thanks for choosing Lofty Hitchins' for your special day 💕

Saturday, March 21, 2026, was a day of exquisite joy, perfectly crafted for celebrating the profound love of two beautiful souls, Aubree Heuszel and Hayden Holden. The bridal party radiated happiness, diligently perfecting their dance moves for the grand reception celebration. With unconditional love, the groom's brother spared no detail, ensuring every floral arrangement, bouquet, and boutonniere was a masterpiece for this cherished occasion. We felt deeply blessed to reunite with this special group, who had once placed their trust in us, and we cannot express the immense gratitude we feel towards each couple who honors us with their presence at family events.
