May is off to a lovely start. Thanks to everyone who reconnected or found me for the first time at Crossroads First Fridays! 🖼

There used to be these tiny zines of q***r sci-fi and fantasy shorts in my booth. I got real bad imposter syndrome about my writing, and so I stopped. Besides the few of you who were kind enough to buy them, and my writing group, most people know me for my visual art. But so many of my characters have a whole world imagined behind them that weaves together even as I draw their fingers, mouths, and limbs.

It was my friend, and one of my favorite authors, Sylvie who encouraged me to apply when called for submissions. I was just delulu enough that week to send in my story. There were screams when I opened what turned out to be my very first acceptance letter. I'm so honored that my t4t body horror "She Calls Me Love" is going to be a part of this Cosmic Horror anthology!

Pre-orders are live and proceeds go to the Trans Legal Services Network and Trans Doe Task Force. Cheers to the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Everything is kinda on fire but we're still here, making art, and using our voices.
