October's edition of my illustrated penny dreadful has been sent out. Thank you to my patrons for their patience with my health issues.

If you missed this months' sign up, or can't commit to the mail club right now there is a $1 digital tier! Read the full story of this month's vampire, her awakening and vengeance.

It means the world that you enjoy my dark art and stories. Thanks for being here.

This month’s tale is about the birth of a pontianak. A woman who died violently and comes back as a vampire who plagues the sleep of men. Gr

The lovely crinkly paper packing sounds were interrupted by my allergies, so instead here's a reading of a slice of the story that's going out to my mail club patrons.

It occurs to me that I mostly consume my books via audio these days. Maybe I should do the same for my subscribers?

Comment 🦇 and I'll DM you the details. Please excuse any typos my brain is full of fire ants.

Apologies to my current patrons. It'll just be a coup more days before your prints and stories are sent out 🖤

This limited run of "Kintsugi Lamia" will be available at my events this month, starting with Boozy Book Fest tomorrow at Bartle Hall!

Every print has a lovely cushion of matte laminate, gold foil, and that kick of embossed gold linework to really make it leap off the page. All signed and numbered.

Now excuse me as I return to bingeing my current audiobook fixation while assuming the sacred shrimp pose 🍤

No AI. Just shiny things, caffeine and stories.

I actually researched a fair amount for this month's setting. If you haven't watched a documentary on the fascinating ecosystem of a bog or marshland I highly encourage it. Nature is absolutely wild. I recently had to get a new vehicle and the in-car screen made me realize how incredibly dependent I have become on GPS systems, which inspired this month's print and story. It is about a Will-O-the-Wisp adapting to the modern times, and continuing its patterns of leading travelers off their path.

The physical print and story went out earlier this month to my dear Snail Mail club members, and this online version is available to my Brain Soup club which is $1/month.

It's been a wild September. For those of you a little newer to my mess, I'm the lead and songwriter for the gothic folk trio, Blood & Velvet

There used to be these tiny zines of q***r sci-fi and fantasy shorts in my booth. I got real bad imposter syndrome about my writing, and so I stopped. Besides the few of you who were kind enough to buy them, and my writing group, most people know me for my visual art. But so many of my characters have a whole world imagined behind them that weaves together even as I draw their fingers, mouths, and limbs.

It was my friend, and one of my favorite authors, Sylvie who encouraged me to apply when called for submissions. I was just delulu enough that week to send in my story. There were screams when I opened what turned out to be my very first acceptance letter. I'm so honored that my t4t body horror "She Calls Me Love" is going to be a part of this Cosmic Horror anthology!

Pre-orders are live and proceeds go to the Trans Legal Services Network and Trans Doe Task Force. Cheers to the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Everything is kinda on fire but we're still here, making art, and using our voices.
