Dear friends, colleagues, and music lovers!
With pride, we share the history of our Leopold Auer International Violin and String Quartet Competition.
The first competition was founded by Leopold Auer himself in 1911.
After 103 years, I was able to restore it, and we called it the Second Competition.
The first revived competition took place in 2014, and the eighth—in 2022.
We planned to continue this tradition, but unfortunately, the war between Russia and Ukraine forced us to stop it.
As an alternative, we held the First Joseph Hassid International Competition in the city of Tartu, Estonia.
We hope that the Leopold Auer Competition will shine with its former glory, and we plan to hold it in 2027.
We will be glad if you take part in the competition as musicians or as sponsors!
