Card Table Productions Card Table Theatre is a Lawrence, Kansas based Theatre Company dedicated to new theatre and great comedy. theatre students and their special friends.

Card Table theatre was founded in Lawrence, Kansas in 1997 by a loose collective of former K.U. Over the course of the last 20 years, Card Table has produced over fifty shows. Card Table’s Production history includes established plays, like David Mamet’s American Buffalo, new works, and the Lawrence Sketch comedy extravaganza The Victor Continental Show. Card Table has worked with local companies

EMU theatre and English Alternative Theatre, including producing four ACTF regional finalist productions and one ACTF national winner, Bunnies, which was performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in the spring of 2000. Actors from Card Table theatre have gone on to perform across the country, and several of the new works originally co-produced by Card Table and English Alternative Theatre have gone on to have productions all over the country. CTP’s resident dirty hand puppet troupe, the Sh*tty Deal Puppet Theatre Company has played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival, in 2007, 2008, and 2009, receiving glowing five-star reviews and selling out each year. We recently started a new series of experimental theatre called Under The Table, these collaborative productions appear every few months. The material is selected by application, centered on a theme. As well as our new comedy series Late Night Lawrence. Card Table is always looking for actors, writers, directors, producers, and sponsors.
