Theatre Lawrence

Theatre Lawrence Our Community's Theatre After many years being located in a former church, our little Theatre has moved to a brand new facility in the West part of Lawrence.

Our new building now matches our big talent and we are filled with big news all year long. Theatre Lawrence is primarily a volunteer organization with a small professional staff. Each year over 400 individuals contribute some 26,000 documented hours of service onstage, backstage, and in committee work. Theatre Lawrence is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Julie Harris Shaw, a professional actress in KC, was in the world premiere of "Between the Lines" at the KC Rep in 2017. Julie spent time talking to the kids about the process of being in a brand new musical lead by a team of New York directors here in KC.

"Everything about the production was well done. The casting was great. The costumes were phenomenal!"

"Overall great production, with outstanding musical accompaniment and several (Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Grandma, boyfriend's father) excellent individual performances, and spectacular ancestor ensemble."
