Did you know? Abilene proudly unveiled Kansas’ first America 250 mural in August 2024, helping kick off the celebration early in the hometown of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Located above the VFW overlooking Little Ike Park in historic downtown Abilene, this patriotic mural celebrates America’s founding, military service, and the spirit of America 250.

❤️ This patriotic landmark was made possible through a community partnership between the Community Foundation of Dickinson County, VFW Post 3279 Eisenhower Edition, the Abilene Chapter NSDAR, an Daughters of the American Revolution America 250! Murals. Turning cities into open air museums

Just look at this heart. It's called Noah's Legacy in honor of a little boy named Noah fought childhood Cancer and felt that everyone needed fun. Cute Band-Aids when they were in the hospital and had to have procedures done. He spear-headed bandage drives generating hundreds of thousands of fun Band-Aids to distribute at hospitals across the region. Unfortunately, we lost this amazing young boy but his legacy lives on in a foundation called Noah's Bandage Project.

Gee, can you tell that I liked this heart a whole lot? It is called KC N Tees and is located at 16655 West 151st Street in Olathe! So many tees showing off Kansas City landmarks and the welcoming spirit of this region!!!

Power to the pigeons! This heart in Olathe is called Pigeon Flyover!! This is located in Olathe at 10541 South Warwick Street. Lots of cool 3D elements to this one!! And who knows, maybe it'll attract real pigeons to hang out!!
