Performing at Homegrown March 14 – The Quiet Bloom

Some bands evolve, but The Quiet Bloom has transformed. What started as a high-energy pop-punk project in 1999 under the name Malaki Kort has grown into an alternative country powerhouse with anthemic, raw, and dynamic energy.

Hailing from Abbeville County, SC, this band has played for thousands at Columbia’s St. Pat’s Festival, recorded in the home studio of renowned producer Rick Beato, and even landed a top 5 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their sound is a fusion of their pop-punk roots with the grit and soul of alternative country, landing somewhere between Kings of Leon and Alkaline Trio.

But The Quiet Bloom is more than just part of this year’s Homegrown lineup—they’re part of our community. Eric Delgado, the City Administrator and Founder & Executive Director of Homegrown, along with fellow bandmate Brad, are both key members of the City of Laurens team helping bring this show to life.

Performing at Homegrown March 14 – Hunter Holmes

Some musicians don’t just play music—they carry on its legacy. That’s exactly what Hunter Holmes does. A sixth-generation musician from the South Carolina Piedmont, Hunter has spent his life studying, performing, and preserving the traditional sounds of the Carolinas and Virginia, blending them with his own classic folk-inspired songwriting.
Hunter is not only an incredibly talented artist—he’s also an essential part of the City of Laurens team that is making Friday night possible. As the Executive Director of Piedmont Blues and Roots, he is bringing yet another incredible show to The Capitol Theatre, presented by the City of Laurens.
