SVC Swing Dance Club

SVC Swing Dance Club We teach east coast swing dance, Lindy hop, and Charleston to Saint Vincent College students and to the local community.

Stay tuned for updates on events and weekly lessons. The SVC Swing Dance Club is a college group that is also open to the local communities. Through weekly meetings and extra workshops, our goal is to teach people how to social dance in the styles of East Coast Swing, 8 count Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Jazz. Once a year we host a workshop and dance weekend.

Get your dancing shoes on! The Classy Dance is TOMORROW! (Saturday April 27th 6-10 PM.) There will be Swing dancing, Square dancing, Marie's wedding, and even a polka! This is just about the most fun you can have all semester, and it is only a short walk from campus. No experience required! We'll teach you everything you need to know and get you out on that dance floor. SO EXCITED! 🕴️💃🕺🕴️See you all there!

If you've never been to a classy dance, they are one of the most fun nights of the semester. We'll teach you how to dance even if you've never danced before, even if think you have two left feet.

There will be lots of swing dancing, line dancing, and even a couple square dances.

Alumni are welcome to attend.

We're bringing the Hallow Swing back to Saint Vincent College! Sunday October 30th. We're so excited!
Swing Dance 101 Workshop, to get started at 4:00 PM.
Dancing till 6:00 PM.

Come in costume and/or with a partner if you like (neither are required).

This is a campus wide event. Alumni and the people of Latrobe are always welcome!
