Whether it's a child's Birthday party of 20 or a corporate event of 200, Ariel-View Caricatures has been delighting and amusing audiences with caricatures drawn live on the spot for over 25 years. Working quickly in marker, a black & white "head & shoulders" caricature of each guest can be produced in 5 minutes or less. A caricature makes a wonderful memento of your event that your guests will tre

asure for years to come. For a small charge, special pre-printed paper can be customized for your event with your company logo, the date or any other info you'd like to include. When completed, each drawing is placed in a transparent plastic sleeve at no extra charge. A two hour minimum is required for any event. Need more than one artist for your event? No problem! Need a face painter as well, or instead of, a caricaturist? We’re halfway through 2026 and my experiment of drawing nothing but 1970’s pop culture! Here’s a recap of the things I posted in January: Rock star, David Bowie, the sitcoms, All in the Family and The Jeffersons, the variety series, Donny & Marie, and finally another sitcom, Laverne & Shirley.

English rock band Black Sabbath, released their self-titled debut album in the United States on this date, June 1st, in 1970. They are universally credited as the pioneers of heavy metal music.
The lineup featured guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, drummer Bill Ward, and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, and they defined the genre with their down-tuned guitars, slow-churn tempos, and ominous lyrics drawing from horror and occult themes.

He later solidified his antihero status in the 1970s by starring as the no-nonsense San Francisco police inspector Harry Callahan in Dirty Harry (1971) and its sequels. The plot follows farm boy, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who joins a galactic resistance called the Rebel Alliance to rescue the captured Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and help destroy the tyrannical Empire’s planet-obliterating superweapon, the Death Star. The film revolutionized cinematic visual effects through Lucas’s pioneering company Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), and became the highest-grossing film of its era.
It received 10 Academy Award nominations and won 6, plus an additional Special Achievement Award, making it the most awarded film at the 50th Academy Awards in 1978.

Stevie Wonder, the iconic American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer was born on this day, May 13, in 1950. He is widely regarded as one of the most creative and influential musical figures of the 20th century. Blind since infancy, he became a child prodigy known as “Little Stevie Wonder” and signed with Motown Records at just 11 years old.
