The Kozy Knutty Knitter I’m an avid knitter and crochet that has been knitting for 50+ years. I’ve learned so much along the way and continue to learn even more!

I love the opportunity to be able to share what I have learned and to continue to better my skills alongside you!

This project is getting so close to the finish line! I’m knitting it with 100% cotton yarn on 3 mm needles, creating a lightweight fabric that’s perfect for warmer weather. For the neckline and armholes, I’m using a modified double-knit stitch, which gives the edges a beautifully polished and structured finish.

At this point, I only have a few more inches to knit before reaching the final length, and then I’ll complete the second armhole. After that, this handmade piece will be ready to wear!

It’s always exciting when a project moves from “work in progress” to “wardrobe favorite.” A little more knitting, a few finishing touches, and this cotton beauty will be ready for its debut. ✨🧶💕

After many hours of knitting, my turtleneck is finally finished! 🍂🧶

This cozy sweater was knitted with Drops Karisma 100% wool yarn, using 5 mm needles for the main body and 4 mm needles for the ribbing, creating a beautiful fit with crisp, stretchy edges. The wool gives it warmth, durability, and a classic look that will be perfect for cooler days.

While it’s definitely a little too warm to wear a wool turtleneck right now, I know that fall will be here before we know it. There’s something satisfying about finishing a handmade sweater ahead of the season—ready and waiting for those crisp autumn mornings and chilly evenings.

I’m thrilled with how it turned out and can’t wait to pull it on when the temperatures finally start to drop. Until then, it’ll be admired from afar and patiently waiting for sweater weather! 🧡🍁

After years of knitting for myself and others, I realized there was one special person I had never made a handmade garment for—my mom. That realization inspired this cardigan, lovingly knitted with 100% cotton yarn using 5 mm needles for the body and 4 mm needles for the ribbing to create a polished, comfortable fit.

This cardigan was a true labor of love, with every stitch carrying gratitude and appreciation for all she has done for me. The soft cotton fabric makes it lightweight, breathable, and perfect for year-round wear, while the neatly finished ribbing adds structure and timeless style. Seeing the completed cardigan reminds me that handmade gifts are about so much more than yarn and needles—they are a way of wrapping someone you love in warmth, care, and cherished memories.

I am so excited to gift this cardigan to my mom, knowing that it was made especially for her, one stitch at a time. ❤️🧶

One more way to cast on or to add stitches to your project!

The CABLE CAST-ON is a versatile method for adding stitches at the beginning of a knitting project or in the middle of your work. It creates a firm, neat edge with a slightly braided appearance that is both sturdy and flexible.

Why knitters like it:

* Easy to learn and remember.
* Produces a tidy, decorative edge.
* Great for sweaters, scarves, hats, and many other projects.
* Useful for casting on additional stitches under the arms of garments or along an edge.
