: Gayle and Janice Replogle
Originally from Chicago and Northern Indiana, Janice and Gayle Replogle are snowbirds who were married in Las Vegas 30 years ago and now call the city their home. The couple first met at Ball State University where Gayle was an Advising Center Coordinator and Janice was Director of Undergraduate Programs for the College of Business by the time they retired.
“Our first Smith Center show was when we were snowbirds; we fell in love with it,” says Janice. “Throughout our marriage we have loved Broadway shows… So, imagine our excitement to be able to visit Reynolds Hall regularly.” The Replogles also enjoy the intimacy of the Myron’s venue, especially attending Clint Holmes’ holiday show with friends that’s now an annual tradition six years running.
“Our support for The Smith Center has been driven by our lives which we have spent in education,” says Janice. “When we thought about our support to The Smith Center, the Education and Outreach Department was most important to us.” Janice adds, “We hope our support helps The Smith Center continue its education mission.”

We always enjoy finding vintage photos of when the Symphony Park neighborhood was previously a rail yard. This 1957 photo is of the later version of the "City of Las Vegas" Aerotrain, renamed the ”Las Vegas Holiday Special," shown at the Union Pacific Depot.
