Wynn Resorts has confirmed a massive data breach after the "ShinyHunters" hacker gang threatened to leak 800,000 employee records last week.
The company hasn't admitted to paying the $1.5 million Bitcoin ransom, but the hackers have removed their online threat — a move usually seen after a payout in the cyber-extortion world.
The breach targeted their Oracle PeopleSoft system but didn't hit guest operations, according to Wynn. Affected employees are now being offered credit monitoring as the company faces its first class-action lawsuits.
