Guests usually do not leave early because of one bad song. It is often a combination of waiting too long to eat, drawn-out formalities, timeline delays, and a dance floor that keeps getting interrupted.

A better reception flow keeps guests comfortable, involved, and excited for what comes next. Feed them on time, group formalities together, choose music with the whole room in mind, then let the party continue.
