When you have a child like mine, you find yourself in circles where child loss becomes a regular part of your reality. It is cruel, and painful, but it has been, for me, a very spiritual and meaningful experience.

My daughter lives in a nursing home and I have the privilege of thinking about the children that pass on to the other side here, and paint a butterfly on the mural wall in their memory.
