New Steak album getting tons of love! We can’t wait to have them return to Planet Desert Rock Weekend for Planet Desert Rock Weekend VII in Vegas - January 28- January 31, 2027 at The Usual Place

The Heavy Chronicles

London stoner rockers Steak Band have been around for over a decade and if you've ever attended a Desertfest, you must be familiar with their muscular, fuzzed-out formula. Their new album on Stickman Records and Ripple Music is something else, though: deeper, darker, more textured and captivating than ever. Heavy rock with a deliciously proggy and haunting side.

With the addition of guitarist and vocalist Tom Cameron to the crew, here comes a new band with a vision. And we're all in for it, as shown by Pete's in-depth review (link in the comments!).

Borracho was pure fire at RippleFest Texas just like when they killed at Planet Desert Rock Weekend a few years back.

RISE OF DISASTER IS OUT NOW 🔥

Our new single dropped yesterday! Featuring guest vocals from Luc Bourgeois of SANDVEISS , it’s your first taste of **Volume III**, coming January 22, 2027, via 𝕭𝖑𝖆𝖈𝖐 𝕿𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝕻𝖗𝖔𝖉𝖚𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘

Heavy, urgent verses, melodic choruses and a chaotic instrumental finale — another step into our world of melange rock / cinematic sci-fi rock.

Inspired in part by Naomi Klein’s *The Shock Doctrine*, “Rise of Disaster” explores war, manipulation, and how political and economic powers exploit fear, suffering and collective trauma.

**“Whose side are you on?”**

There’s no simple answer. The question reflects the pressure to choose between competing narratives while cycles of violence, destruction and retaliation continue beneath them.

Produced by Sons of Arrakis
Recorded at Studio Red Tube and home studios by Luc Boivin, Frédéric Couture and Francis Duchesne
Mixed and mastered by Karl Daniel Lidén
Artwork by Alexandre Goulet / Alexandre Goulet
Lyrics by Frédéric Couture
Music by Sons of Arrakis
Guest vocals by Luc Bourgeois / Sandveiss

Thanks to everyone who’s already listened and shared the track. We’ve been looking forward to this moment.
