Somnium Animation was founded by Alberto Triana (Executive Producer), Brent Mukai (Executive Producer), and Christian Tomas (Head of Animation and Design) and launched in March of 2012. A Brief History of us from Brent:
Hello, and welcome to the page of indie-animation company Somnium Animation! Though we've only just begun our first official project, The World According to Ninja, the dreams of a
n animation company sprouted long before any of us even knew we'd end up in Las Vegas. The three of us are all from Hawaii, Oahu to be precise, and Pearl City to be even more precise. We met in high school, our common bond being the Drama Program, and it was our senior year (Christian's junior year), that Bert and I were asked to write and put on a short play about ten minutes in length before the school's production. Needless to say, using the best parts of our ADD and teamwork, we created a fifty minute play, that we were skillfully able to whittle down to forty five minutes. Berto, Christian and I all performed in the play, and received rave reviews for the writing, direction and acting. Flash forward five years and now the same team that killed an auditorium for four nights on stage is hoping to create their first animation in the same vein as the stage show that started it all. Currently, Christian is main man making it all happen, since he is the only one who can draw, and animate as awesome as he does. The process will be slow, however, our first animation will come out right.
