Jack & Emily say “I do” on a rainy Autumn afternoon.

My perspective on rainy weddings is that once you let go and fully embrace the imperfection and unplanned, you fully allow yourself to be present. Rain brings a sense of calm and slows down the pace of your day. It adds a level of romance, intimacy, and whim. It highlights quality moments and raw emotions because the clouds 100% set the mood and make everything pop and vibrant in a whole different way! Just by nature, it gives texture to the photos. Once you let go of the perfection, you’re free to just be present and breathe. I don’t know, there’s just something so incredibly peaceful and special about rainy day weddings.. even amongst the “chaos” and unplanned, time stops a bit. Hot take: rainy weddings are my favorite kind of wedding weather, especially if your ceremony is outside.

Rehearsal dinner for Megan & Noah

I always love when the couple chooses to add on documenting the rehearsal dinner. I feel like it really tells such a special and completely story of their wedding weekend. Megan and Noah had torrential downpour during their rehearsal which was supposed to be all outside. After they practiced inside, the rain stopped and they were able to set up their dinner space and eat some good pizza. What an ending with a beautiful rainbow!
