Scammers use Bitcoin ATMs to steal your money

Most of us use ATMs pretty often to withdraw cash. But Bitcoin ATMs (or BTMs) are a different beast. Increasingly located in convenience or grocery stores, gas stations, and other places, they’re a way to buy or send cryptocurrency. Only scammers are now using BTMs to steal your money. A new FTC Data Spotlight explains how people are losing millions to fraud at BTMs — and how to protect yourself and the people you care about.

Many of these scams start with a call or message about something supposedly wrong: they might say there’s suspicious activity on your Amazon account, for example, or unauthorized charges on your bank account.

Upcoming Free Paper Shredding Events Las Vegas


Hi everyone!

If you are in the Las Vegas area, and you are looking to shred personal documents (3 – 5 bankers’ boxes, dependent on location), here is a list of Community Shred events for the latter part of 2024. Please verify with the contact info listed for each event to ensure the event is still happening.

Take Steps to Protect Yourself from Identity Theft — shred instead!

Simply drive up, open your trunk, and we’ll empty your boxes into the shredding truck for you.

Acceptable items include:

-Paper
-Folders, hanging folders and manilla folders
-Window envelopes
-Spiral notebooks
-Elastics and rubber bands
-Clips, binder clips and staples

Batteries, three-ring binders, CDs and DVDs, cardboard, plastic (sheet protectors, credit cards, etc.), hard drives and any other non-recyclable items cannot be shredded.

HERE IS ANOTHER VERY SIMILAR STORY TO WHAT DAMAR HAMLIN SUFFERED: AND 1/ONE THING THAT CHRIS PRONGER'S TEAM AND DOCTORS DID WAS ADD MORE "CHEST CAVITY PADDING" AND YET, MIRACOUSLY, "EXCERPT"= Like Hamlin before his collapse on the field, Pronger managed to stand up following the impact and took two strides before falling to the ice. Teammates huddled around Pronger. Both athletic training staffs rushed to his side.
Neither Blues trainer Ray Barile nor team physician Dr. Aaron Birenbaum could find a pulse on Pronger's neck or wrist. Pronger’s lips were blue, and becoming bluer by the second, while his eyes were rolled back into his head. Barile cut Pronger’s jersey and shoulder pads to prepare to perform CPR when, suddenly, he awoke.
