New List I brewed up this Weekend. Still waiting on a few cards.

This is my Helga, Skittish Seer “Bant Math Frogs” deck 🐸🧠

What started as a Quandrix precon turned into a full-blown ETB value engine that snowballs HARD.

We’re blinking creatures for value with:
Teleportation Circle ✨
Thassa, Deep-Dwelling 🌊
Conjurer’s Closet 👀

Stacking counters with:
Hardened Scales
Branching Evolution
Tanazir Quandrix

And closing games with:
Walking Ballista 💥
Avenger of Zendikar 🌱
Craterhoof Behemoth🐘

This deck doesn’t rush…

It builds, scales, and then EXPLODES in one turn.

What if White Liliana isn’t just an alternate version… but the Liliana who chose NOT to use necromancy? 👀💀

In canon, Josu’s death is the fracture point that sends Liliana down the path of dark magic, necromancy, and demonic pacts.

But in EchoVerse… what if that one choice changed everything?

My theory:
⚪ White Liliana still loses Josu…
⚪ Her spark still ignites in grief…
⚪ But instead of demons and necromancy, she trains with Angels and becomes Liliana the Healer

And the armor details might support it 👀

Am I cooking… or are we WAY too deep in the Reality Fracture lore?

New adds to my Heroes in a half shell commander. Really starting to lean into the token synergy as well as +1/+1 Counters. Has become one of my favorite decks to play, because it can get out of hand so quickly. Still a bracket 3.

With Phlage being one of the cards on yesterday’s wizards ban list, I am already trying to figure what cards replace those 4 in the main.

I think the ban knocks Boros energy from A Tier to B Tier, it’s a pretty huge change and very difficult to find something that provides as much value as Phlage does.

Any other Boros Energy players? What are y’all thinking for Phlages spot in the 60?

This Secret Lair Drop Was a Disaster

The Goblin Storm Secret Lair sold out before I even made it halfway through the queue.
I was there 30 minutes early, had multiple browsers open, and STILL couldn’t get one.

The Wizard of the Barge Commander deck looked absolutely incredible, but now listings are already showing up at massive markups on TCGplayer and eBay.

Do Secret Lair drops need to become print-to-demand? Or is there a better solution for the Secret Lair queue system?

Also go support Wizard of Barge, their art is amazing.

Competed at my LGS’ Modern RCQ. A buddy let me borrow his Boros Energy deck, I am working on getting the cards to build my own. Made a bunch of misplays, but learned a lot. Barely bubbled out of top 4, next time 😤

Got Second with Bant Airbend in Standard Showdown. Got 2 into the Floodmaw Retro Border Promo cards and 4 Tarkir Dragons...

Got Second with Bant Airbend in Standard Showdown. Got 2 into the Floodmaw Retro Border Promo cards and 4 Tarkir Dragonstorm Boosters.

Wincon is usually to Airbend cycle and create a bunch of Ally tokens with Appa. Or to Airbend cycle badgermole cubs to create 1 to 2 earthbent lands that are 20/20, they have haste and turn sideways for the win.

Beat out Selesnya Landfall and Izzet Spellementals. Game 3 was another landfall matchup. First game opp ended up swarming the board with treefolk from Sapling Nursery triggers and swinging for lethal before I could get to the combo. Second game I thought I had it, but they ended up planar engineering and swinging a 32/32 Tifa with trample and I was one mana short from being able to Airbend her back to hand.

SO to the homie Drew for beating me with the landfall list. He is one of the guys I have been getting games in with, during the week to prep for RCQ’s. He piloted his deck incredibly well, and did it without Cubs which is super impressive.

Got a group from my LGS and we have been jamming games this Week getting ready for the next couple of Modern RCQ’s. I am borrowing a deck from one of them, it’s either going to be Izzet Prowess or Boros Energy. They were helping me understand the sideboard and matchups.

One of them has an RC coming up in Washington DC, so we have also been getting reps of Standard in as well.

I have been loving the play-mat, deck box and sleeves. It might cost a little more, but the quality is worth it.
