I can't yet tell you if I'm failing you or Italy is failing us all, but I've yet to find any gems. I have been walking 15-20 miles per day while hitchhiking, mostly hiking as it goes in Italy, so on these warm days even the most basic of beers hit the spot... maybe they don't care enough either when "cold" is enough? Perhaps the best is yet to come, I do have hopes for some spots in Rome at least. We shall see.

First proper beer in Italy this time around. Breweries here are different, for sure... more about the food courses than the beer for sure. By the end I was dipping an almond bread stick into strong, sweet wine in a bowl. But yeah, smoked beer was good.
