TODAY, KRWG Public Media launches the KRWG Summer Concert Series on Intermezzo in collaboration with the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra. For the next three Mondays, for the very first time, KRWG will broadcast three concerts of the LCSO from last winter and spring. The concerts were conducted by Maestro Jorge Martinez-Rios. We are very fond of the close relationship we have had with KRWG since at least the year 2000, when Intermezzo host Leora Zeitlin began interviewing the guest artist musicians who came to perform as soloists with the orchestra.
Tune in TODAY, August 24th at 2 p.m. as a new collaboration begins when KRWG presents the LCSO performing their Sultry Strings concert from February 26, 2026, featuring the Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi and the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, with violin soloist Luis Eduardo Cuevas . Maestro Jorge Martinez-Rios and Leora Zeitlin will open each half of the program with a brief discussion of the music to be heard, and the concert broadcast will also include the encore that Mr. Cuevas performed.
