Auditions for Footloose at NMSU Theatre Arts!
Auditions are open to all - or let the director know if youβd like to be involved in other ways!

This musical is a dramatic comedy, as newly planted teen Ren from Chicago tries to adjust to a small town where dancing has been banned. Featuring Oscar, Grammy and Tony award winning songs, this musical celebrates generational connection, the challenge of relationships, and ultimately the power of love and forgiveness.
WHEN: Friday, August 21st, 2nd floor of the ASNMSU Center for the Arts. Sign up for a time between Noon and 3:30pm, or between 6pm and 8pm. Please come prepared with 16 bars of an up-tempo and 16 bars of a ballad in the style of the show, and a monologue of 1 minute or less, also in the style of the show. Please bring your own accompaniment for the initial audition β (phone, blue tooth speaker, etc.)
CALLBACKS: Saturday, August 22nd, same place, Noon to 3pm. Please be prepared to sing selections from the show, and for a dance call. An accompanist will be provided on this day.
ASNMSU (Center for the Arts) is on the corner of University and Espina - enter the doors by the Honors College/Music Building on campus. Parking on campus is by permit only prior to 4:30pm or via a free visitor pass: https://services.nmsu.edu/parking/visitors.html Parking open all day on Saturday.
