Donald Sutherland, Star of ‘MASH,’ ‘Klute’ and ‘Hunger Games,’ Dies at 88

Donald Sutherland, the tall, lean and long-faced Canadian actor who became a countercultural icon with such films as “The Dirty Dozen,” “MASH,” “Klute” and “Don’t Look Now,” and who subsequently enjoyed a prolific and wide-ranging career in films including “Ordinary People,” “Without Limits” and the “Hunger Games” films, died Thursday in Miami after a long illness, CAA confirmed. He was 88.

His son, Kiefer, announced his father's death in a statement.

"With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film," he said. "Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived."

I understand this is a religious pilgrimage and I am assuming that before they all died they were telling themselves it's okay because this is what Allah wants of them, but come on 1.8 million people in 118 deg F with no cover. I'm sorry but WHY??? Why sacrifice your life or the lives of your loved ones for something so dangerous. I mean apparently no one is helping each other out there, they are all on their own to fend for their own health and welfare even though they are surrounded by 1.8 Million so called followers of their faith! Why aren't they helping each other out?

I'm asking these questions seriously, not just poking fun or something. I am truly curious as to why???? And don't say because the book tells you to to do it every year. A man/woman (Human being) wrote your book, our book and every other book on the planet, I don't truly understand how you risk your life for words in a book. Please take me seriously, i'm poking fun, i want to know so if you have the answer please reply. You're going to hurt my feelings, just answer honestly and without hate, I don't hate, I am just curious. As I am about many beliefs. This one hit me when i read it so here's my post.
