🎭 Huzzah, noble guests! Before you don your finest garb and journey to the Colorado Renaissance Festival, here be a few costume guidelines to ensure a safe and family-friendly realm for all:
✨ Costumes should remain family-oriented and suitable for guests of all ages.
👕 Shoes, shirts, pants, and skirts must be worn at all times.
⚔️ Prop weapons are welcome, but they must remain peace tied and sheathed at all times.
🚫 Functional fi****ms, bows, and crossbows are not permitted within the festival grounds.
👺 ALL masks must be removed before entering the front gate. Masks must also be removed if ordering alcohol.

We thank you for helping keep the kingdom merry, magical, and safe for all who enter the gates! 🏰

THE OFFICIAL BADGE OF THE 49TH SEASON

If you've visited the Colorado Renaissance Festival, you've likely met one of our wonderful cast members while wandering the lanes of Larkspurshire. This year, there's a special way to recognize them!

The badge pictured below is the official cast badge for the 49th Season of the Colorado Renaissance Festival. These badges are reserved exclusively for members of our cast and entertainment family, making them a unique symbol of the people who help bring the Realm to life each weekend.

Designed by our Entertainment Director, the badge draws inspiration from the Tudor period and the magnificent stained glass windows that adorned churches, halls, and great houses throughout England. Stained glass was far more than decoration. It blended medieval storytelling with artistic innovation, creating works that were both visually breathtaking and rich with meaning. Much like those historic windows, every piece of our Festival helps tell a story and invites guests into another world.

We are incredibly proud to wear these badges, but even more proud of the connections we make with all of you.

So if you see someone wearing one of these badges during your visit, please don't be shy! Stop and say hello, ask a question, share a favorite Festival memory, or simply introduce yourself. Our cast members love meeting guests and helping create the magic that has made the Colorado Renaissance Festival a beloved tradition for 49 years.

Hear Ye! The Great Debate Hath Been Decided!

The votes have been cast, the arguments made, and the banners raised high above the Realm!

In the epic clash between the Noble Knights and the Rowdy Pirates, one faction hath claimed a most decisive victory...

🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ THE PIRATES EMERGE TRIUMPHANT! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

With cries of "Arrr!" echoing across the Kingdom, tankards raised in celebration, and absolutely no regard for proper decorum, the Pirates have sailed away with a resounding victory! 🍺⚓

The Knights fought valiantly and with great honor, but alas, honor alone could not withstand the tidal wave of pirate revelry, questionable decision-making, and shameless bribery with rum.

Let all of Larkspurshire know that, for this day at least, the seas belong to the Pirates!

Huzzah to all who took part in the challenge, and keep watch, good gentles... for another great contest shall soon be upon us!

The streets of the Village are being readied, the stages prepared, the banners raised high, and the sounds of merriment already echo through the Realm. Noble performers, merry villagers, daring pirates, and wandering rogues anxiously await thy return!
Gather thy garb, summon thy Faire companions, and prepare thyselves for a Season filled with laughter, music, feasting, and adventure!

Hark! Gather ye close and lend thine ears, for I am Re*****on Badumtsch, Timekeeper of the Village—and, on occasion, a merry Disturber of its Peace. Now in my third year within fair Larkspurshire, I keep the hours with steadfast care, though the telling of them doth oft perplex me greatly.

Yet take heart, good folk! For though my tongue may wander when speaking of time, my spirit beateth strong—aye, and in days yet to come, I shall bring forth lively rhythms and merry beats most worthy of thy dancing feet.

Mark me well, for where I wander, there followeth mischief and mirth in equal measure.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! A Character Spotlight!

In this, mine third season, I dost take up the mantle of Townsend Crywell, most illustrious Town Crier of Larkspurshire!

Good Townsend is a man most loud and boisterous, brimming with boldness, though—mayhap—lacking somewhat in wit, despite his charge o’er the tidings of the Shire. I take great delight in portraying him, for he doth bellow with unmatched fervor, and there is sport in playing a fool who deems himself master of all knowing.

Alas! Townsend is sorely vexed, for his son, Kriv the Kurious, hath cast aside a most noble and comfortable inheritance—that of Town Crier—to pursue the dubious art of… medicine! Forsooth, what folly! As though such a trade should endure the ages!

Yet Townsend holds fast to grand ambitions, dreaming that one day he shall capture the King’s favor and be granted the honor of Knighthood. Until such a glorious hour, he remaineth steadfast and proud in his station, proclaiming the news to all who shall hear!
