When I started doing pottery I thought I could be a productive potter with my main job. That wasn't the case. However now with my new schedule I will have the time to work on a variety of new projects. Here's hoping my new schedule works.

Glazing mugs!!!

Working in the shop today. You can see in this picture the mugs in the lower right corner are gray and have not been fired in the kiln yet. The mugs on the left and the growlers in the back are lighter in color and have already been through the kiln once.

They are ready for glazing and re-firing. We are working out some kinks with the glaze for the mugs...they were coming out with pock marks. The testing continues!!

Too much listening to TOOL got me thinking about how "the pieces fit". It's gonna be metal.

I'm making glaze test tiles! Yay? 😕 But this is how you find out how the glaze will look before putting all over a piece that's taken a couple of weeks to a month to make. So yay. 😁
