“I’m playing Sonny Malone and am super excited to portray this character on stage! My favorite 80s song is Come on Eileen by Dexy’s midnight runners. My favorite story from Greek Mythology would be the story of Icarus. And my favorite song from Xanadu has got to be either Magic or The fall or Dancin, im always finding myself jamming out to all of them. My favorite scene though has to be Dancin since it’s just such a good combination of music genres, not to mention Randa sick clarinet playing.”

In honor of it officially being opening month, we’re gonna play a round of:

Up first we have our good friend Lisa Malloy!

Last year’s run of the Wedding Singer at EOT gave me a newfound appreciation for Madonna and her iconic ‘84 album: Like a Virgin. Catch me listening to “Dress You Up” on repeat!

3. Favorite Story from Greek Mythology:
I always liked the story around the birth of Athena; how she burst from Zeus’s head, fully grown.

4. Favorite song/number in Xanadu:
The song Dancin’ ! What can I say? I love a good musical theatre mashup number. In Dancin’, we get a stylistic combo of 1930’s swing with 1980’s rock, and I really enjoy how they work together!
