Next we asked Mike Arnold what the most important thing his character does in the show. He said “One of the most important things my character does is come back from being sick and vote YES to help get the Declaration of Independence signed”.

As we get closer to opening 1776 and celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence, we’ll be sharing some insightful answers from our actors regarding the show, lines, characters, and content!

Let us first introduce Jay Allen: We asked what his favorite moment in the show is for his character. He answered, “One of my favorite moments is when my character comes in after we’ve conquered territory from a whole flock of ducks. The moment proved these undisciplined young men could come together as a well-mechanized unit. This whole time, my character is not necessarily against independence, but the idea of war. It’s a pivotal moment for my character to realize there’s proof we can do it.”
